Education  

I am a licensed professional counselor and trained life coach. 

I obtained a bachelors degree from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania.  I continued my education at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and obtained a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology. I currently hold a Pennsylvania license to provide mental health and substance abuse counseling. 

I obtained my coaching and leadership training through coursework in the  Masters in Leadership and Organizational Development Program at Chatham University and trainings through the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine. 

My clinical experience began at Gateway Rehabilitation Center where I worked with individuals in various stages of recovery from a substance use disorder.  While at Gateway I received specialized training in dual diagnosis treatment and substance abuse therapies.

Later I joined the senior staff at the University of Pittsburgh counseling center.  As a senior staff counselor I worked with university students struggling with a wide range of mental health concerns as well as substance use/abuse. 

I also hold a contract to provide employee assistance program services with Back on Track and Compsych.

Currently, I am pursuing additional training at West Virginia University.  The field of psychology and the treatment of mental health disorders is always changing, and it is important for treatment providers to grow and evolve in their treatment strategies in order to provide their clients with the best possible treatment experience.
