Group Therapy is an opportunity to meet with a small group of people who have concerns similar to yours. Information and ideas, as well as feelings, are shared in a safe confidential setting. There is a counselor present who facilitates the group.

Group Objectives

• Reduce the feelings of guilt, anger, and isolation often felt by caregivers
• Provide a place for caregivers to express feelings of grief and sadness
• Reduce feelings of resentment through the development of coping strategies and acceptance of role as the caregiver
• Increase the caregivers ability to meet their own needs
• Decrease risks to the caregivers health by lowering stress
• Improve overall functioning
• Regain hope and enthusiasm for life
